Butterfly's

I truly believe in serendipity and that life is a journey that leads you through a series of interwoven experiences that all have a common thread. As we began to plan our wedding we talked about many options and once we found our new home knew there was no better place to make memories with our friends and celebrate the start of our marriage. One of the favorite things in our home is a stained glass window of a butterfly. Not only is it is really beautiful but it also symbolizes new beginnings. So, we thought let's include butterfly's throughout the wedding. As we have been planning here and there we add a little butterfly detail when we can (and when it is not too tacky!). Just this last weekend we had some friends over and were talking about the night Jaime and I met. Most of you know that I met Jaime during the final phases of a stem-cell transplant for cancer. I was only 84 days out from my transplant, and wasn't supposed to be out, but was convinced by a good friend to sneak away to Nashvile for a weekend. Obviously I had no hair, not a eyebrown, eyelash or a hair on my head, so I was wearing a scarf. Since that time, I have met many amazing people who have battled the cancer beast and I have given away all of my scarfs but one, the one I was wearing the night I met Jaime. So, I went to grab the scarf I was wearing to try it on for laughs with my friends and when I picked it up and unfolded it, it was covered in butterflys! Needless to say that was one of the few times that I have really wittnessed how connected life really is if you just pay attention.

  2. The wonderful part of all of this is that it all was in your awareness to recognize the connection. You will find many more happy butterflies for you and Jaime
